Bedroom 3 has two adult bunk beds, a large fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and includes a mini iPhone/iPod/MP3 speaker dock.

Bathrooms and Toilets

There is a bathroom adjacent to the bedrooms, comprising a bath with shower attachment, vanity unit, whb and toilet.

The villa also has a separate shower room, comprising a shower, whb and toilet.

We regret that the bathroom and shower room are not wheelchair-friendly.

Terrace and French Mediterranean Garden

Large patio doors on two sides of the villa lounge open out to the wrap-around terrace - ideal for breakfast in the sunshine and lunch under cover, with gorgeous sea views. The French Mediterranean garden comprises irrigated rockeries, with lavender, olleander, broom, saureto, oregano, parsley, rosemary and thyme.

There's an area for garden bistro tables, the barbeque and sun-loungers, and a corner for relaxing with your favourite book and a glass of 'Fitou'.

The site

Our self-catering holiday rentals villa is located on a private residential/holiday site, perched above the wine village of Fitou, comprising villas, a small number of very low-rise apartments, a swimming-pool complex including a toddlers' pool, and communal landscaped areas. One pool is heated in April, May, June, September and October. The villa is available for holiday rentals throughout year.

Fitou, South of France

The old Catalan village of Fitou, gouged into an ancient river bed in the rugged Corbière hills, basks in the sun of the southern Lanquedoc-Roussillon, bordering the Pyrénées Orientales.

Fitou thrives on the produce of its vineyards, and from the visitors who come for its wine, restaurants, wild scenery and beautiful sandy beaches of the Mediterranean nearby.

Make this self-catering holiday rentals villa your first choice for holidays in the South of France.

The Surrounding Catalan Region

A drive into the hills and mountains, just inland from Fitou, may not be for the faint-hearted, although the views are superb. Roads are narrow, steep and twisting, but the beautiful scenery and discovery of a small rustic Catalan restaurant or wine-tasting 'cave' can make for a memorable trip.

Visit Collioure, near the Spanish border, once a favourite haunt of Braque, Matisse and Picasso - with its narrow alleyways, craft shops and bistros, and its fortified church almost sitting in sea, with a backdrop of the beautiful Albères mountain range. Here you can lunch or take a glass or two in one of the beachside cafés.

In two hours or so, you can reach Barcelona (NB: Barcelona Girona airport is closer -about 90 minutes) or for an alternative day out perhaps hop onto the 'Little Yellow Train', which struggles up through the spectacular mountain scenery of the Pyrénées.
